Yeah well, it’s been more than a year since the March 11th disaster and lots of things have happened between then and now.
I have been neglecting this blog for that time, concentrating on my other main blog.
Also, it appears that I missed a small security hole in this blog – I used a theme which had the timthumb.php vulnerability and nasty folks took advantage of that.
That hole’s been plugged up now.
I may be back with a vengeance on this blog later this year – I’ve lots of things to get done between now and then though. Stay tuned

Sorry for the lack of new posts.
I live in Japan. Koriyama city, to be precise, and my house is 54km (33.5 miles) from the Fukushima nuclear power plants. Between the big quake hitting on the 11th March, the broken food and gasoline supply chain, and the problems with the nuclear power plants, I’ve been rather preoccupied, as you can imagine.
I’ll create a writeup of my experiences to-date on my personal blog site.
Regards.
Kevin.

This was very appropriate at the time.
I had a massive server crash, it was awful – I lost everything – including my emails for the past 2 years! Seriously, if you don’t want to lose 2 years of hard work, BACK YOUR STUFF UP! I should know this already, having been in IT for more than 20 years. A hard lesson has been learned.
am reconstructing the website and all the old articles – THANK YOU GOOGLE CACHE!
It also gave me the chance to update my internal infrastructure – this ain’t going to happen again.
Bear with me while I gradually restore the old articles, get the website back to it’s configuration before my incompetence struck, and possibly write new articles too.

- Yes, I really am dumb for not making backups!
